Calvin Luu is a San Francisco Bay Area based colorist specializing in commercial, documentary, narrative, and music videos.
On his spare time, you can find him shredding with the homies skateboarding the streets or hitting local parks or hiking in the Marin headlands.
After graduating UCSC with a degree in Film and Digital Media in 2010, he began his career as a video editor at Teachscape. Calvin proceeded to work at JUST as a filmmaker, directing food-based marketing videos.
During his time at JUST, working with food led him to understand the power of manipulating color in video. It was at this moment he decided to dedicate his career to becoming a colorist. With his newly found passion, he joined Allison + Partners in 2017 as colorist and video editor. He has worked with clients such as Adobe, Facebook, Toyota, UCSF, UL, Zenni Optical and many more.
